“I think first and foremost, you celebrate great talent…Any organization that’s looking to be high performing, you’re looking for that diverse talent that is looking to help push you and lead you to new levels that maybe you weren’t even looking at…bring a different skill set, bringing diverse views. Challenging yourself with what I would call cohesive collaboration, where you’re having constructive dialogue, which isn’t an argument, it’s a debate.” Bob Sullivan, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Northstar Travel Group

Bob's early career was influenced by several mergers and acquisitions that had him quickly gain experience in the travel industry.
He shares with Dorothy Dowling of DEI Advisors how he was fortunate to encounter many champions and mentors who crossed his path and helped him advance and outlines the value that the M&A environment provided to him in understanding value creation through strategic fit and having a strong implementation plan but to also be agile in evolving your plan to be responsive to the market.
Bob is a believer in the value of diverse talent and the richness of entertaining different viewpoints, as they result in better outcomes and how the value of listening to others and challenging yourself to be open to new experiences and viewpoints has been a key to his success.

Learning and Development (LnD) processes are instrumental in driving success and ensuring relevance across various industries. Yet, the hospitality sector grapples with significant challenges in this realm.
🙋🏻♀️ Szilvia Olah has graciously shared her innovative approach to managing LnD for hotels boasting over 700 employees, ensuring comprehensive training for each and every staff member. She advocates for a tailored approach, where the entire process is segmented based on the unique competencies of individual employees. This strategic direction, she asserts, is imperative for propelling the hospitality industry forward.
At Schulering s.r.o., we wholeheartedly embrace this progressive philosophy. We firmly believe that antiquated systems must give way to modern methodologies that align with the rapid pace of contemporary life. It is through such forward-thinking initiatives that the hospitality industry can truly thrive.
You can find the link to the complete webinar featuring Szilvia's insightful participation in the comments section below.
